Called by many different names, a Tubeguard is the plastic lamp sleeve designed to contain the glass from a broken lamp. Also produced in various colors for decorative and aesthetic uses, tubeguards can be found in the refrigerated and freezer units in grocery stores, over the lights at a salad bar, and on the lights at various places to deter bugs. Tube guards satisfy OSHA, FDA, and USDA requirements for food processing and industrial plants.
UV filtering Tube Guards screen out harmful ultra-violet light emissions. Applications include museums, art galleries and libraries.
Produced in the following lamp sizes: T-5, T-8 and T-12. Colors include Clear, Red, Blue, Green, Amber/Yellow, Pink, and Purple. Special Ultra-Filtering tubeguards are available for areas containing printed circuit boards, graphic arts, printing plates, and darkroom applications.
